Egg freezing (cryopreservation)

In order to perform egg freezing, women take injectable medications to stimulate their ovaries to make multiple eggs. The eggs are then removed during a short procedure, referred to as an oocyte retrieval. The mature eggs are then stored through a process called vitrification for use at a later date.
